“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil…Not to speak is to speak;” as Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who died opposing Hitler and Nazism, once said. He knew true evil. Here today, some consider free speech, hate crime.
Trump was correct to condemn all extremists. Left-wing Antifa, whose Fascistic tactics have terrorized lawful protests for years, only now denounced by one lone voice Democrat after first embracing their actions. Obama praised Black Lives Matter, as did Hillary, Bernie and most Democrats, even after some in the group took the lives of police. None disavowed them or their actions and instead invited them to the White House.
Professor Robert George, Princeton University, said: “The only people who fear open-minded inquiry and robust debate are the actual bigots. Including those on campuses, or in the broader society, who seek to project the hegemony of their opinions, by claiming that to question those opinions, is itself bigotry.”

Propaganda media feeds the false narrative that all conservatives are hateful extremists and all liberals are for the good of the people. Some extremists exist within all races, creeds and political parties; which will grow, if encouraged. All Americans have individual rights and should never be divided by shallow identity politics. False slander against neighbors, officials or political foes to stir hate and incite violence because of disagreement is evil.
If government didn’t have so much control of our lives, government would be less relevant in our lives. That’s freedom.
Thankfully, the heart of America still exists – in Texas! God Bless the victims and those giving their time, effort and money to remind us America can triumph regardless of race, creed or political party. United we can stand, but only if all voices are heard, not shut into silence.
