ADOT has several freeway construction closures in effect this weekend that may impact travel plans for Fountain Hills residents heading into the Valley.

Westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) closed between Alma School Road and Loop 101 in Mesa from 10 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday (July 11) for overhead sign work. DETOUR: Please consider alternate routes, including US 60 (Superstition Freeway) or McKellips Road.

Eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) narrowed to three lanes between Loop 101 and Dobson Road from 11:30 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday (July 11) for sign structure work. DETOUR: Please use caution in work zone.

Northbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) closed at Indian Bend Road from 11:30 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday (July 12) for widening project. Northbound on-ramp at McDonald Drive closed. Southbound Loop 101 HOV lane also closed in the area. DETOUR: Northbound Loop 101 will detour along the off- and on-ramps at Indian Bend Road. Please allow extra travel time. Please note: Loop 101 on- and off-ramps at Indian Bend Road closed for approximately two months starting early Monday morning (by 5 a.m.) for reconstruction work.

Alma School Road closed in both directions at Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) in Mesa from 10 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday (July 11) for bridge work. DETOUR: Please consider using McKellips Road or Country Club Drive as alternate routes. Westbound Loop 202 on- and off-ramps and eastbound off-ramp at Alma School Road closed from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday (July 11) for widening project.
