Friendliness

Last Wednesday I volunteered at the Democratic Club table at the Town’s Volunteer Expo.

I’d like to thank the five random Republicans who stopped by to talk to me. Each one expressed sorrow at the way I was treated by their party and by a couple of the other candidates when I ran for Town Council last summer. They graciously wanted me to understand that those folks and the ROT PAC didn’t represent all the Republicans in Fountain Hills.

Their kindness helped me see that the friendly, neighborly Republicans I’ve been used to bantering with in Fountain Hills have not all disappeared. Thanks, people, for restoring my faith in the friendliness of our sweet town.
