It’s easy to walk past a sculpture you’ve seen a hundred times. It’s harder to truly see it.
That is the idea behind the Milestone Sculpture Art Tour in Fountain Hills, where docents invite residents and visitors to pause, look closer and reconsider the artwork woven into their daily routines. With more than 150 public art pieces throughout town, Fountain Hills is home to one of Arizona’s most substantial outdoor sculpture collections. It’s a legacy built not by accident, but by vision and community effort.
The tours, held the second Wednesday and fourth Saturday of each month, are organized by the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center in partnership with the Fountain Hills Public Art Committee, part of I Love Fountain Hills. The docent-led walks focus primarily on sculptures in and around Centennial Circle.
