I'm not a big drinker. I enjoy a cocktail now and then, or a glass of wine. But just in general, I am kind of dull and just drink water (although I have a friend who questions that choice since, he says, he knows what fish are doing in there. Eew)

But here's the thing. My little family went to dinner the other night at a new place in our neighborhood (in Phoenix). I ordered a Jack Daniels on the rocks. (Here's another disclaimer: I LOVE ice. I almost ALWAYS order extra ice. However, on this night, I did not. I just ordered a simple Jack on the rocks. We had a mediocre dinner, then got the check. The meal wasn't cheap. But the rocks were two bucks. I am not kidding. I got CHARGED for rocks, like I ordered some kind of mixer or something. I wonder if anybody else has been charged for rocks. Perhaps the more astonishing thing is, I paid for it. I can't quite get over it, but it does give me something to talk about.
