At a recent Saguaro road bond presentation a local realtor pointed out that Saguaro Boulevard is like the front door of our town. Just as a homeowner would want a presentable and attractive front entrance appearance to attract new home buyers; Saguaro Boulevard serves as the gateway to our downtown corridor featuring businesses, restaurants and Fountain Park.
The $8.2 million bond will re-build our main lifeline meeting new code standards and provide a model for future road improvements needed on our other major corridors.
As the State of Arizona begins to come out of this long recession, let us strengthen and nurture our own recovery and future stability by taking care of our own front door.
