In her Fountain Hills home, 97-year old artist Elizabeth Rymer has carved out a space entirely devoted to art and design. Canvases dot the walls and nestle into nooks. Paintings of shapes and color and windowless homes are set in endless pastures, each one recalling places tied to fond memories and moments of reflection.
Trays of silver rest near the kitchen, reminders of her mother’s taste and grace. Nearby sits a vintage Barcelona chair, designed around the time Rymer was born. It faces her paintings, a quiet symbol of simplicity, functionality and beauty that invites anyone to sit and take it all in.
Rymer’s lifelong devotion to art will take the stage at Fusion Fine Art Gallery, where she’ll showcase approximately 20 of her paintings in an exhibit titled “What Are You Wanting to Talk About Here?”
