Garden celebration

We are so excited to see that the Fountain Hills Community Garden has doubled in size during the past year and we’re celebrating on Sunday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. We’d love to have the whole community stop by and check out this hidden gem in the center of Fountain Hills.

There will be so many things going on at our celebration! First and foremost, we are having a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. for our gorgeous new garden education area. We’ll be holding classes there in the near future on so many topics; gardening and what to plant when, how food from the garden can lead to a healthier lifestyle and lots more.

We will be having a pesto demonstration in our education area after the ribbon cutting by chefs from Flourish, where you will learn how to make delicious pesto from garden ingredients. There will be healthy food served by our famous Fountain Hills Food Cart, so be sure to stay for lunch at one of our picnic tables in the garden. We’ll have honey, baked goods, soaps, original art and a plant sale. You can check out our own bee flow hive.

We’re having a wonderful raffle with great items; an integrative medical consultation with Dr. Patel, a “Taste of FH Restaurant Package,” a foursome of golf at SunRidge Canyon, a wine package from LDV Winery, a Verde Valley Nursery gift certificate and a martini gift set from Dan Fecteau. Raffle tickets are available now at Dr. Patel’s office and at Susan Dempster’s office at Coldwell Banker on the Avenue.

Please check out “Fountain Hills Community Garden” on Facebook, our group page on Facebook or Ilovefountainhills.com for the latest details.

This will be so much fun and best of all, it’s free!
