Garden education

Our Fountain Hills Community Garden has a new Farm To Table Education Area thanks to our generous donors – Council member Dennis Brown, the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and Senior Services Center! With the help of these wonderful people, we were able to bring our vision to life and we hope to show residents how to cook their home-grown, nutritious food in our demonstration area.

We are hoping to partner with local community gardens, the Yavapai Nation at Fort McDowell, local chefs, kitchens, restaurants and non-profits to teach residents how to prepare healthy meals. The area will also serve as a meeting place for gardening classes, workshops, social events and much more.

The best towns are built on the positive energy of people who give their time, passion and support for a common cause – “Building Community.” Thank you Fountain Hills for having tremendous community spirit and look forward to an epic town photo at our ribbon cutting on March 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fountain Hills Community Garden, across from the library, museum and community center. Hope the whole town can join us to celebrate and become part of this momentous occasion!
