Garden party

On March 24, the Fountain Hills Community Garden will hold its First Anniversary Celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the garden. It’s open to the public and, as a member of the garden; I’d like to extend an invitation to join us in the festivities. There will be lots going on, including a silent auction, plant sale, multiple vendors and music. It’ll be a fun day!

If you’ve been with us for any of our events, you’ve seen first-hand how the garden is flourishing. If you haven’t been in the garden lately, we’d love for you to see what our members have done. A lot has been accomplished since we first put our plants in the ground in February of 2017, and now would be the perfect time to see not only past accomplishments, but also what we have planned for the future.

Since we began placing the first beds, it’s been a labor of love. We’ve been fortunate that many hands have made hard work less so and, while working, we’ve made many new friends along the way. If you would like to become a “Friend of the of the Garden” or you have an interest in leasing a bed to garden with us, there will be members available to help you decide if it’s something you’d like to do. If you just want to see what we’ve been doing, that’s ok, too.

In closing, if you’ve never been to the garden, we hope you will visit us on March 24. If you’ve been with us before, please come again, as we love to see old friends.
