Garry David Ritchie, 62, made his transition to his heavenly home Saturday, July 13, 2013 following a short battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Lori; daughters Elisa (Chad Kritenbrink), Heather (Seth Rucker) and Megan; grandchildren, Caleb, Kylie, Cali and Hyrum; and sister Geri (Mark Fucile). He was preceded in death by his mother Betty and father Joseph.

Garry was born in Salem, Ore. and graduated from Willamette University. During high school and college Garry was involved in the boys organization of DeMolay for music and drama.

He continued his love for music into adulthood and was involved in the worship team at Four Peaks Community Church.

He worked all his adult life in the office products industry, starting as a salesman in a small store in Oregon, and working for various firms throughout the Northwest and Arizona.

The past 10 years he worked for Baker Manufacturing as a VP of Sales for the Pacific Northwest. He loved to travel and meet new people as part of his job.

Garry and Lori married in 1973. They enjoyed traveling together, spending time each year in St. Martin, and also traveling to Greece twice, Spain, Mexico, Canada and Hawaii.

He also discovered a passion for cooking, and entertained family and friends with his wonderful food. He became an expert grill-master and confirmed “foodie.”

Garry will be deeply missed by his family, but we know he is in his heavenly home and no longer in pain. We sorrow here on earth, but there is rejoicing in heaven.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 17, at 4 p.m. at Four Peaks Community Church, 15202 Fountain Hills Boulevard.
