Gas prices climb in and around Fountain Hills as August approaches record high

Gas prices in the Valley jumped another 15 cents this week to settle at $4.69 a gallon, according to AAA Arizona on Friday. And that trend is almost perfectly mirrored in Fountain Hills.

The Circle K on Shea and Saguaro boulevards both sit at the Valley average of $4.69 per gallon, according to GasBuddy, with the Chevron on Fountain Hills Boulevard clocking in a bit higher at $4.79.

The national average, however, dropped 2 cents to $4.08 a gallon, but still could set an August record.
