Gas prices remain higher than average in Fountain Hills

Continue downward trend in Valley overall

Gas prices continued to drop this week in the Valley, according to a release from AAA Arizona, though the prices around Fountain Hills remain a bit higher.

Prices in the Phoenix area fell 19 cents this week to an average of $3.94 a gallon, continuing the downward trend. The state average dropped 17 cents this week, down to $4.08 a gallon, and 70 cents down from a month ago. 

In Fountain Hills, however, the price remains higher than both the state and national average. The Circle K on Shea Boulevard had a listed price of $4.19 Friday, according to gasbuddy.com. The Circle K on Saguaro Boulevard was even higher at $4.29, with the Chevron on Fountain Hills Boulevard higher still, coming in at a reported $4.49.
