Georgene Carr Fenley

Georgene Carr Fenley, of Fountain Hills, passed away at home on Aug. 6, 2016.

Georgene Fenley was born in Oak Park, Ill. on May 28, 1927. A graduate of Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa, she received a BS degree in 1949 from Iowa State College.

The beloved wife of John M. Fenley, who pre-deceased her in 2013, Gene played a significant role throughout their 63-year marriage in family, civic and business affairs.

A memorial service to celebrate Gene’s life among her family, her caregivers and many friends will take place Friday, Aug. 26, at 10 a.m. at the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, Gene’s well-wishers may send contributions in her name to the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church.
