With the start of the 2026-27 school year, Val Reichler officially begins her first year as superintendent of the Fountain Hills Unified School District. Learn more about the district’s new leader below.
Can you tell us a little about yourself and what inspired you to pursue a career in education?
I was born and raised in New York, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pace University and began my career in the business sector. Later, I moved to Florida, where I worked in an advertising agency. In 2001, I moved to Fountain Hills when I felt called to a profession where I could make a lasting difference in people’s lives. I’ve been proud to spend my entire educational career serving the Fountain Hills Unified School District.
