It’s been a couple of decades since Michael Weber went camping and hiking with his dad in McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Back then, Dynamite Road was still unpaved and the land wasn’t yet a preserve.
After spending more than 20 years in the Pacific Northwest, Weber is back where it all started, this time focused on improving quality of life and expanding opportunities for celestial education and global conservation.
Weber is the visitor services manager at the International Dark Sky Discovery Center. His career began in parks and recreation, with early roles in park maintenance and environmental education. Throughout his professional journey, he says his mission has remained the same: to promote natural health and wellbeing.
