Gordon Kerr

Gordon Kerr, 86, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Sept. 11, 2013.

Gord was born in Toronto, Canada Oct. 28, 1926. He married the love of his life in 1947, then moved his family to California in 1956, relocating to Phoenix in 1968 and eventually settling in Fountain Hills in 1980 following his retirement.

Gord was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joy and is survived by his daughters, Susan Stevens (Dave) and Debbie Lukens (Bob); granddaughters Tami Garrett (Todd), Tiffani Rollins (Tim), Shannon Spaulding; and great grandchildren, Madisyn, Peyton, Breanna and Austin.

Survivors also include dear family members Joan Norrie, Bob and Cathy Starkey, Pat and Carl Doerfler, John and Marie Danforth.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed the outdoors. His good humor and sense of adventure will be sorely missed by all.

Services will be held 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, at Messinger Mortuaries, 12065 N. Saguaro Blvd., Fountain Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to The Hospice of the Valley.
