Got proof?

Stan Hinkley’s rants offer little in the form of specifics to support allegations.

The Iranian Mullahs? I’ll assume you’re referring to the ones involved in the recent negotiations in Geneva and how they “came out like roses.” First, the reduction of billions in sanctions is not the same as “the United States paying them billions while they laugh at us.” As far as I know not a single dollar will be directly flowing from the U.S. while they “are laughing at us.” To which buffoons do you refer? Is this about the Obama administration or do you include David Cameron, Catherine Ashton, and the rest of the P5+1? Just how did those tricky Mullahs dupe the U.S. and the P5+1? I would like clarification about your comments and identification of the buffoons involved.

Waste: Here you allude to “another auto bailout” but again fail to specify to what you refer. The only two recent “bailouts” I could find involved Tesla and Fisker. Neither of these involved billions; Tesla received a $465 million loan and Fisker a loan of less than $200 million. Both of these loans were Department of Energy loans (funded by the ATVM Act, signed into law by George W. Bush in 2008), as opposed to TARP funded as were the previous GM and Chrysler loans. Tesla repaid the $456 million in full, nine years ahead of schedule. If Mr. Hinkley is referring to Fisker, be advised that over 20,000 of their Karmas are on the road currently. Fisker has not been as successful as Tesla, primarily due to circumstances beyond its control. Their contracted battery supplier has declared bankruptcy and is unable to supply power for the several thousand existing Karmas awaiting completion. Add to this fact that 800 Fiskers were destroyed by Super Storm Sandy, and it becomes apparent that neither Fiskers nor the DOE are primarily responsible for these difficulties.

More forthcoming…
