While I’m still waiting for Mr. Stan Hinkley’s response to my letter from last week, I may as well request some more specifics and proof of his allegations in a previous letter of his.
His allegation of gouging taxpayers isn’t only vague, it’s also misleading.
I believe Mr. Hinkley was talking about the fine levied upon Duke Energy for windmill problems in the Northwest, but since he doesn’t say so, I have to assume this is the case.

How the administration will be able to siphon off the $1 million fine to subsidize Obamacare is unclear, at least to me.
He also neglects to mention that “some birds” include more than 160 golden eagles, we’re not talking about sparrows or pigeons. Stan also fails to explain how Duke Energy’s fine is going to raise our electric rates here in Arizona.
The last allegation may be the least accurate of all. The study Stan refers to was conducted by the U.S. Coral Reef Task Force, which was established by Executive Order in 1998. The members are, of course, government employees.
I did some research and reviewed their website, but I couldn’t find a single Congressman or other elected official among them. I’m unlikely to adopt Stan Hinkley’s position on this one until he can name some specific individuals. Photos would be nice as well.
If Mr. Hinkley wants to make allegations, he should provide some proof. Otherwise his writing just becomes a rant. Some good advice here follows: Allege but substantiate.
