Former Flushing, N.Y. resident Grace D‘Ambra, 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Oct. 5, 2013, at Hospice of The Valley, Scottsdale.
A 13-year Fountain Hills full-time resident, “Grandma” Grace was a constant blessing to all who knew her.
Born in Providence, R.I. in 1918, and living in New York most of her adult life, she fell in love with the warmth of the Arizona desert, and moved to Fountain Hills in 2000.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Ralph D’Ambra, a grocery store proprietor in New York City.
She is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other friends and family members who loved to listen to her amazing voice as she sang her Italian songs.
Services were held Oct. 10, 2013 at Messinger Fountain Hills Chapel with interment at Paradise Memorial Gardens, Scottsdale.
