As far as the discourse on the grand median goes, my questions are two-fold, why were there no private/public partnerships sought in defraying the costs of the median?
The landscaper could have been given the ability to advertise on the site, or handled all of the town’s landscaping for next five years, in return for a greatly reduced price to the town, or one of the local businesses or Chamber could have sponsored, etc…it goes on and on.
I don’t think there is a park back home in Tulsa that doesn’t have some corporate citizen who has donated a water feature, statue or sponsored its care.

The other big question is why is there a large undeveloped lot adjacent to the grand median and our wonderful Fountain Park? Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?
