Great town

What a wonderful time to live in Fountain Hills. The Concourse in the Hills was a wonderful event with wonderful weather to boot.

I want to thank all the sponsors and exhibitors for putting on such a nice event. I also want to thank all those folks who dropped by VFW Post 7507’s booth and learned more about the VFW or the Red Shirt Friday program.

Special thanks to those who bought Red Shirt Friday shirts.

Another special thanks to the Fountain Hills Denny’s restaurant for its donation of a share of its President’s Day profits to support the build-out of the Post’s new Post Home. Thanks to all the public who ate at Denny’s to help support that effort.

And Thanks to Stephanie and her team at Sami Fine Jewelry and all the sponsors for another outstanding Love in the Hills event. What a wonderful ceremony on another glorious day. Could not have been better.

What a great Town to live in with so many activities.

Looking ahead, the River of Time Museum restarts the Theater Thursday program with a presentation by Karen Ray, the Cultural/Yavapai Language Coordinator for the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. The title of her talk is “Who are the Fort McDowell Yavapai?” She is an interesting speaker. The noontime program is free. For more details, call the museum or visit their website at ROTMuseum.org.

Also, tomorrow are Art on the Avenue and the Farmers’ Market, both great activities.

On Saturday, our senior US Senator, John McCain, will talk at the award-winning Fountain Hills Republican Club’s meeting, which starts at 9 a.m. in the Community Center.

All this and more, too numerous to mention, and all in only a one-week period. Isn’t it great to live in Fountain Hills?
