The town of Fountain Hills is not helping to “make America great again” by continuing in its ineffective, wasteful tax desires.
While the federal boys are reducing taxes for both corporations and individuals, Fountain Hills, swimming against the tide, continues to cry for more money.
Fountain Hills has squandered our largesse. What is letting its roads go to disrepair and waste other than squandering?
Rightly, half of its income is spent on two major items: Police and fire. It does not take a genius to see how to produce a surplus.
There was a time past for our town when a town marshal system was coming into its own. Hire five town marshals, full-time, limited to no more than five for a period of 10 years, and abandon MCSO and its $3 million-plus per year.
Wyatt Earp did his job with few during a tumultuous time of major shootouts. Fountain Hills is quiet. It can be done with few, with no new taxes.
“Dare to be great” (a multi-marketing slogan) and you might find that “greatness.”
