The Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church is offering another Grief Ministry session this summer, which provides help to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one.
This non-denominational grief program features a blend of biblical teachings on grief and recovery topics, with practical guidance to create a process that sensitively meets the needs of hurting people.
Many people who have experienced the loss of a loved one are hurting deeply and initially uncomfortable about coming to a grief support group.
This grief ministry provides a safe environment that offers a sense of warmth and acceptance in a relaxed and secure environment.
Participants will receive support and guidance from a trained facilitator who has experienced his or her own grief process and is able to come alongside you in your grief journey, to assist you in working through the issues, pain and pressures of grief.
Griever’s Journey is a support group that is built around three components:
1.) Video seminars that bring together some of the foremost Christian experts on grief issues in a series addressing the emotional, spiritual and practical needs of those in grief.
2.) Support group interaction that participants benefit from by interacting with the other participants (when they wish to), which becomes much like a family for most participants, while they grow, encourage and support each other.
3.) Provides materials for note taking, personal study, reading and meditating on devotionals, journaling and reflections, which help to build tools, receive guidance that help in sorting through thoughts and emotions, while you learn about grief related topics and issues.
If you, a friend, or relative have experienced the loss of a loved one and are interested in this healing ministry, call Michele Hasley at (480) 313-6814 for any additional information on an upcoming summer session.
