I have been blessed to work with the youths of our community for the past 30 years.
Through the Sunset Kiwanis, owning a preschool for eight years, teaching Sunday School at the church I attend, as well as mentoring and tutoring various kids, my life has been enriched by the young.
Without exception, “our” kids are great. They are enthusiastic, generous, committed, silly, happy and loyal to one another.

Unlike my high school years, they accept all peers regardless of their faith, color, sexual orientation and social status.
As a senior citizen, I learn from them every day. Thanks, kids!
