Ever feel that politicians are stealing your happiness? Every time you get slammed by their deceit and cruel authoritarian actions, how do you feel? Is it true, have we been literally drained of our pride? Are we barren of our famous American fighting spirit? When did politicians stop being one of us and become one of the enemy? Why are we so afraid to lift our heads and look our politicians in the eye?
In this election cycle we’re seeing the people’s growing discontent with its government. The people have awakened and are fighting back in an attempt to be heard. There is now little doubt that our government officials have been sweet-talking us and picking our pockets, all the while we’ve allowed them to abuse us. To publically hear officials bad-mouth, insult, threaten and silence us has been a provocation too great to allow the government to go unchallenged. Has our courage come too late? Are we strong enough to win?

Isn’t this battle simply a referendum on the Constitution? Aren’t the founding documents of this country and “We the People” at stake? Isn’t our governance today merely the rule of a select few exercising totalitarianism and promoting anarchy? Are you satisfied with how our politicians are running the country? Remember, you cannot escape the choice that is before you.
Euripides: “There is something in the pang [pain] of change more that the heart can bear, unhappiness remembering happiness.” Ouch!
In the course of human events we hold certain truths to be unalienable rights. One of those rights is the “pursuit of happiness.” Though it comes from the Declaration of Independence, written by White Anglo Saxon Protestants, I’ve looked and can’t find anything better. What have you found that replaces “the Pursuit of happiness?”
