It has been a long time since the American president called media giant Drew Pearson a “son of a b___h.” Since President Harry Truman was basically defending his own daughter’s musical talents, the citizenry -- for the most part -- tended to forgive the outspoken leader of the free world.
How times have changed! At the present time in our great country, no one is in charge! How very tragic! The occupant of the Oval Office for the past six-and-a-half years is perceived to be a buffoon in the eyes of foreign leaders. America’s president?!
Much in the style of Harry Truman, Donald Trump’s sometimes jolting, but “always-on-the money,” approach to the presidential election campaign represents a “breath of fresh air.” We’ve all learned that this is a man not to be messed with. Until “The Donald” began to let us know “where the fly defecated in the black pepper,” my grumble had been, “Where are you, Ronald Reagan, when our country so desperately needs you?!”

Even his Republican fellow candidates fear Trump’s arrogant independence! They know full well that Trump will upset the apple cart almost immediately in Washington once he is elected our next president. Mr. Trump knows that the “good-ole-boy” approach to national politics is simply not working and hasn’t worked for years!
The Donald states loud and clear that we will take our country back! To me, that is the most beautiful statement that I’ve heard in years.
Just let the leaders of Russia, China, Iran or North Korea dare to try to intimidate President Donald Trump! A canary would have a better chance of frightening a Tom Cat!
Like during the victorious days following World War II, we Americans will all be able to sing “Happy Days are Here Again” once we elect Trump to the highest office in the land!
