Harriet Jean (Kurtz) Haas passed away on Sept. 23, 2015 in Fountain Hills. She was born on Sept. 9, 1928 in Honey Creek, Wis.
Harriet was a devoted and loving wife, a great “guiding hand,” a Christian mother, a friend and educator and a UW-Milwaukee graduate.
She was married to Bob for 49 years until his passing 18 years ago. Michael, Jim and Janet will miss her smile, her humor, her friendship and her love.

Harriet leaves her son-in-law, Doug Schwab, her two grandchildren, Allison (Schwab) Hughes and her husband, Brad and Melissa (Schwab) McQueen and her husband, Matt and her three great-grandchildren Connor and Hailey Hughes, and Charles Bennett McQueen born on Oct. 25, 2015.
Mother’s final resting place is next to her husband, Bob, in the columbarium at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West. Her interment was on Oct. 31, 2015.
