On Sunday, June 11, Harvest America 2017 comes to University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. The free Harvest America event will also be simulcast to thousands of host locations across the country, including a livestream at First Baptist Church in Fountain Hills. The livestream will begin at 5 p.m. and is also free.

If you are wondering what Harvest America is, I think the only way to describe it is a contemporary experience similar to a Billy Graham Crusade. Greg Laurie will be speaking at the Harvest America event. He is a pastor and Evangelist from Southern California. Billy Graham called him the “evangelist of the future.”

Last year, at a similar event in AT&T Stadium in Dallas, the stadium was filled to capacity and with the livestream the event drew a combined 357,000 participants. It was the largest one-day live evangelistic event in American history.

There will also be great music at the event and the livestream. Top named artists include NEEDTOBREATHE, MercyMe, Trip Lee and Phil Wickham. The combination of great contemporary Gospel Music and a dynamic, clear message of hope for our country make this an epic event.

Personally, I will be driving to the event in Glendale, but I realize that many folks in Fountain Hills will not want to experience the driving, parking and walking required when you go to the stadium. This is why the livestream of the event being shown locally at First Baptist Church would be a great opportunity to participate without the hassle. First Baptist Church is located at 10215 N. Saguaro Blvd. in Fountain Hills.
