As unpopular as this topic may seem, cruelty to animals intended for consumption must be brought to the surface and arrested.
If more people were cognizant of the unethical practices occurring at some farming and slaughterhouse industries, they would be horrified.
Though I understand that not everyone chooses to become vegan, it is imperative that we open our eyes to journalism revealing this type of abuse as a “heads up.” If we as a group continue to allow this treatment to animals prior to slaughter, then we must accept the quality of food we are ingesting.

Though I understand that not everyone chooses to become vegan, it is imperative that we open our eyes to journalism revealing this type of abuse as a “heads up.” If we as a group continue to allow this treatment to animals prior to slaughter, then we must accept the quality of food we are ingesting.
I would recommend viewing documentaries such as “Food Inc.” or “Glass Walls” by Paul McCartney or “Earthlings” narrated by Joaquin Phoenix. Using online resources such as YouTube.com would be a great benefit as well. Education is the first step toward transformation.
