A new year brings new beginnings for many, and one of the most widely accepted New Year’s resolutions is to get healthier.
To be healthy is a commitment, a choice. However, one must know where to start and to whom to listen. This month there is an opportunity to start the year right and help someone in need.
To provide a greater awareness of personal health, as well as making a community investment, AFC Physical Medicine and Fountain Hills Christian Center have joined efforts to accomplish both in a one-day Health and Wellness Fair.

On Thursday, Jan. 30, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon the AFC staff will be at the lower level of FHCC for this important event. It is located at 16239 E. Ironwood Dr., at one of the three-way stop on Fountain Hills Blvd.
The cost is a $10 donation, in which 100 percent will go to needy families in Fountain Hills.
“The dedicated partnership of AFC and Fountain Hills Christian Center reflects the values our town holds dear, to take care of one another and to be committed to our health,” said Todd Forrest, pastor at FHCC.
“These are the values that make Fountain Hills a special place for us to live; and why so many come to visit and, eventually, make it their home.
“You are invited to express your community spirit, as well as get a free wellness checkup.”
To raise the funds needed to multiply efforts, Dr. Ryan Sculley is providing services from AFC Physical Medicine.
During this one-day clinic, he and his staff will provide:
*Osteoporosis evaluation
*BMI and body fat testing
*Inflammation testing
*Adrenal gland (stress) screening
*Nutritional recommendations
*Ten-minute massage
*Free first visit to AFC with an X-ray
Early detection of potential spinal and nerve problems is imperative.
Dr. Sculley said, “Our goal is to improve your quality of life by reducing pain naturally. It doesn’t matter what age you are.”
Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment call 480-816-8300.
