Healthcare on tap at Dems meeting

The Fountain Hills Democratic Club meets Thursday, March 14 at the Community Center.
The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.
With the recent discussion about healthcare accessibility and its rising costs and the proposed “Medicare for All,” the club will host a speaker to address the issues.
Jonathan B. Weisbuch, M.D., MPH, specializes in preventive and community medicine and has been in practice for over 50 years. He was the Director of the Maricopa County Department of Public Health from 1997 through 2004 and has held executive-level positions in public health in California, North Dakota, Wyoming and Massachusetts.
His public health history spans over three decades with experience in preventive medicine, epidemiology, research, administration, education and quality management. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Weisbuch is a graduate of MIT and New York University school of Medicine. He currently is one of the leaders of Arizona Coalition for a State and National Health Plan.
The Democratic Club meeting will begin a half hour for socializing and snacks, followed by the program which will begin at 6:30 p.m.
With this presentation, the club continues its policy of providing people with timely and important information about the issues.
All members of the community are invited to attend the presentation.
