“Strength for Healthy Living” is a six-session support group that will hold an introductory meeting Monday, Nov. 9.
It will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.
The group will focus each meeting on one aspect of how participants can keep weight off and stay healthy.
At the first meeting participants will discuss the format and direction that the group will take.
Remaining session topics will be:
*Formula – What methods work to stay on task; Dec. 14.
*Food – What foods work and which hurt us; Jan. 11.
*Faith – Support that never fails; Feb. 8.
*Fitness – Action speaks louder than words; March 14.
*Friends – Support for the journey; April 11.
The group will reference popular plans such as the Daniel Plan, Lifetime Fat Loss and a Food Centric Life.
Guest speakers will come from time to time to give tips or lead in simple actions that can help the group be healthy.
Meetings will be held the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Education Building, room 5, for six months.
The church is located at the corner of Fountain Hills and El Lago boulevards.
