Heat and air quality advisories in effect this week

The National Weather Service has an excessive heat warning in effect for most of the state through 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25.

The forecast for Fountain Hills on Tuesday, July 24 is 114 degrees with 112 forecast for Wednesday. Temperatures closer to normal are in the forecast for Thursday.

With the excessive heat people are advised to drink plenty of water and confine outdoor activities to early morning hours.

The National Weather Service has an excessive heat warning in effect for most of the state through 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25.

The forecast for Fountain Hills on Tuesday, July 24 is 114 degrees with 112 forecast for Wednesday. Temperatures closer to normal are in the forecast for Thursday.

With the excessive heat people are advised to drink plenty of water and confine outdoor activities to early morning hours.

Check on friends and neighbors who are shut-ins to be sure they have working air conditioning.

The air pollution advisory for ozone remains in effect through Tuesday, July 24.
