Help nature

Our community is lucky to have Republic Services offer a $10,000 grant to an organization that receives the most votes online by Aug. 15.

We are one of only two towns in the whole country to be able to participate in this program. Please go to the site, www.republicgivesback.com, and use points you earn weekly just by having your trash/recycling picked up and vote for the Fountain Hills Botanical Garden.

Our town is also lucky to have such a naturally beautiful area to walk in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Once you get into the garden the traffic sounds disappear and you can enjoy bird calls and look at the amazing rock and boulder formations.

If there has been a measurable rainfall you may get to see water behind the rock dam that was built in 1941 by cowboys.

We appreciate what nature has provided for Fountain Hills and we hope you do too. The grant will allow us to make the entrance parking lot and hillside more welcoming and help prevent erosion after rains. Thanks for helping us achieve this!
