Heroes

Truth be told, most people do not know how they would behave in a serious emergency. Training offsets fear. However, there is no way in knowing beforehand, with certainty, how well that training affects a person.

David and Goliath proves that those with the right stuff of heroes finding themselves in that emergency, behave courageously.

Nickolas Cruz with an AR-15 long rifle against Scott Peterson with a handgun is not the correct calculus.

Sadly for all those concerned, Peterson forgot his day, his duty to protect the students in Parkland, Florida, his incorrect calculus.

Most who are not “heroes” would say the long rifle would win out against a handgun, but this is a wrong conclusion for heroes. Heroes do not act so. They count the children first, even above their own personal safety. First the children, then, despite a seeming disadvantage, heroes run to and do what is necessary even when afraid.

History has taught a vital lesson; mercenaries fail.

It is the love of students and children by trained, armed, properly led teachers, administrators, security, janitors, etc. that will succeed.

Actions always speak louder than words.

Snarky, Monday morning quarterbacks badmouthing “Private Bone Spurs” or badmouthing Peterson are a negative nexus to be avoided, and are not wanted in a foxhole.

You say you do not have a choice in choosing your fated foxhole partners. Oh, but you do when you choose God and Jesus Christ to be with you.

“Praise the lord and pass the ammunition.”
