Trinity Lutheran Church has scattered 25 crosses in Fountain Park to share in the quarter century of its formation.
Some crosses came from the collection of members, some were crafted for the occasion, while local merchants donated others.
The lucky person who finds a cross may keep and enjoy it. The finder also can take the cross to the church, 13770 N. Fountain Hills Blvd., between 10 a.m. and noon, Monday through Friday, to receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a dinner for four at Saddle Bronc Grill.

Photos will be taken of the cross and the new owner for a church time capsule. The crosses were placed throughout the park on Oct. 1 and can be collected until Oct. 29.
The winning raffle ticket will be drawn Nov. 5 when the congregation celebrates the anniversary of the church.
