High school celebrating homecoming this week

It’s homecoming week for Fountain Hills High School, and the entire town is invited out to this Friday’s big game beginning at 7 p.m. on the high school field.

Homecoming week came a bit early this year, but that hasn’t stopped the FHHS campus from celebrating in a big way. Local youngsters are enjoying spirit week on campus, including a pep assembly and powderpuff football games. The homecoming dance will be this Saturday, Sept. 16.

The one major change to this year’s homecoming is that the parade will be held during the football game halftime show Friday night. Royalty and the usual band/cheer performances will take place, with classes building golf cart floats to circle the field before the second half.
