Update: Hit-and-run charges against Fountain Hills vice mayor dismissed

March 2025 collision in Tempe

Hit-and-run charges related to a collision in Tempe against Fountain Hills Vice Mayor Allen Skillicorn have been dismissed, according to Tempe Municipal Court records.

During court proceedings Oct. 30, a charge of failing to remain at the scene of an accident and a charge of failing to provide information at an accident were dismissed on motions from the state.

Skillicorn did plead guilty to a new charge, however, speed greater than reasonable and prudent, which was added by the prosecution. He received a fine of $250 and court costs of $246.
