The River of Time Museum would like to express our sincere gratitude to the volunteers who made our recent Holiday Mart annual fundraiser such a huge success.
Under Gerry and Marge Colbert’s fine organization, coordination and creativity, the mart reached a new milestone with over $9,000 in sales! This truly exceeded all our expectations.
We could not have done it without our museum and community volunteers – all 50 of them! In the back workshop, 13 busy elves priced items, cleaned merchandise, sorted, repaired and enhanced a myriad of decorations, and created beautiful holiday displays. It took quite a number of volunteers to set up (and sell merchandise before the official opening) and take down the mart.

In the public eye, full of holiday spirit and smiles, 37 super sales volunteers counted pennies, bagged gifts, shared stories and delivered good cheer to both our museum friends and to people who were unaware of our unique, local museum. In total, volunteers devoted more than 725 hours to the Holiday Mart this fall. What an amazing accomplishment!
We would also like to thank all the museum and library patrons, town residents and visitors who stopped by the River of Time Museum Holiday Mart to shop. We are very grateful for your support and hope you enjoyed your purchase.
Finally, a great big thank you to all the people who donated their gently used, new and beautiful holiday decorations, trees, wreaths, toys and more for this fundraiser. Your donations are greatly appreciated and are already being accepted for Holiday Mart 2018.
Happy holidays to all from the River of Time Museum.
