We returned to our favorite dark sky state in mid-October and we were stunned to see the brilliant lighting around the lake in Fountain Hills. Whereas some lighting may be appropriate to enhance safety for people walking around the lak after dusk, the new lighting is excessive and clearly not in keeping with the desire of promoting Fountain Hills as a Dark Sky Community.
