Fountain Hills Home Delivered Meals program and Fountain View Village celebrated their 14-year-old partnership recently.

The partnership has developed through the years with a joint goal to provide nutritional mid-day meals for Fountain Hills residents who require meal preparation assistance.

FVV kitchen is open year ‘round and its central location aids in the convenience of the Home Delivered Meals routes. Matt Hastings, director of dining services at FVV, ensures that the meals meet dietary standards established by state and federal guidelines.

Fountain Hills Home Delivered Meals program and Fountain View Village celebrated their 14-year-old partnership recently.

The partnership has developed through the years with a joint goal to provide nutritional mid-day meals for Fountain Hills residents who require meal preparation assistance.

FVV kitchen is open year ‘round and its central location aids in the convenience of the Home Delivered Meals routes. Matt Hastings, director of dining services at FVV, ensures that the meals meet dietary standards established by state and federal guidelines.

Meals consist of a hot entrée, a starch item and a vegetable. It is served in a three-compartment aluminum container. A cold sack with a salad, fruit, dessert and milk also are delivered daily.

The kitchen staff at FVV can accommodate certain special dietary meals. Clients can select the days they wish to receive meals.

Volunteers with the Home Delivered Meals program deliver food 365 days a year. Meals arrive between the hours of 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
