Its homecoming week in Fountain Hills, which means plenty of reasons to celebrate the Falcons over the next few days.

The big change to this year’s festivities is the time and location of the homecoming parade. This year’s trail of floats, music, dignitaries, homecoming court and the like will start at Christ’s Church on Bainbridge, travel down the north-bound lanes of Golden Eagle Blvd, then enter the high school grounds for the big finish.

Visitors are invited to enjoy the parade this Friday, Oct. 21, with a start time of 5 p.m. Organizers are asking visitors to line their chairs on the sidewalk of Bainbridge and the north-bound lanes of Golden Eagle Blvd. Road closures will be at 4 p.m., so those wishing to park in the Golden Eagle parking lot should be there early. The high school and Learning Center parking lots are also a safe bet for enjoying the parade, followed by the game.

Food and games will be available at the high school following the parade and leading up to the 7 p.m. homecoming game kickoff. Everyone is invited out to support their local team, as well as enjoy the floats, see the marching band and spirit line performance, hear the announcement of royalty and more.
