One of the great things about Fountain Hills is having a K-12 school district. The high school, in particular, is a source of civic pride for this town – or it should be.

So, with that being said, we expect a good turnout for today’s Homecoming parade on Avenue of the Fountains. It’s a fun little tradition that showcases some of our younger students and especially our teens. Different sports teams are highlighted along with the royalty, school administration, School Board, etc.

We get to see the creative floats and cheer on our student body (along with the football team). Speaking of football, the Friday night game is always entertaining as the marching band goes all out, the king and queen are crowned and of course the football team is expected to walk away with a victory.

The Saturday night dance is always a favorite among the students as well.

It’s these little hometown traditions that make Fountain Hills fun and create more of a close-knit community. Our high school students are at a delicate time of life, and of course the seniors will be graduating next May and preparing for the next big step of their lives.

Let’s rally behind our high school, especially this week, and show some true Homecoming spirit!
