Fountain Hills homeowners can help themselves mitigate fire danger

Creating defensible space around structures

Right now, cool pleasant weather is the time for Fountain Hills residents to think about clearing a defensible fire space around their home and adjoining structures, according to Fountain Hills Fire Department Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal Mike Winters.

“Now is the perfect time to get out and do your part to reduce your risk of being impacted by a brush fire,” Winters said. “Fountain Hills firefighters are asking (residents) to follow some simple tips to help safeguard (their) property. You can help keep your family and your home safe by following the tips listed.”
