Honesty?

Election Day is near and once again we the TV viewers can watch TV without being subjected to these horrible negative political commercials.

I have already voted but not for any of the leading candidates. If one is to believe these negative commercials, which must be true, otherwise there would be libel suits galore. Some of these candidates should be in jail instead of seeking an elected office. Now one wonders, is honesty a most certain way to be eliminated from any political office?
