Three Korean Veterans from American Legion Post 58, along with 21 other veterans from around the state, were selected for a trip to Washington, D.C. to see the Korean War memorial and other memorials in the D.C. area.
What made this trip so memorable is the welcome we got when we arrived at the airport to begin our journey. We were met by Regina Waldo and many other ladies with the Four Peaks Daughters of the American Revolution. They helped us with our luggage, provided us with a light breakfast, saw we got to the flight on time and took the time to come around to visit with all of us and make us feel special.
When we returned from our trip they were there again, along with the American Legion Color Guard and many others to welcome us back.

I wish I knew the names of all these special women to thank them personally. Their dedication to helping us is something I will never forget.
I am ashamed to admit, as a veteran, I did not know much about their organization here, but you can be assured from now on they will have my full attention and any support I can give them.
On behalf of myself and the other veterans, thank you, Four Peaks DAR. You will never be forgotten by us.
