I read the letter to the editor regarding wild horses. While I enjoy seeing a beautiful horse and have owned a few as well, I am amazed at the writer’s delusion as to their origin.
The horses are not native to the land and, as a matter of fact, if some research was done we would find these horses merely walked through a downed fence on one of the local reservations.
Now we have to deal with the destruction to our beautiful desert as they will over-populate the grazing capability of the land.

Easy solution is to geld the males and let the herd be until they all ride into the sunset.
