Regarding the candidacy of Mike Archambault for Town Council, I believe the public would be wise to heed the advice of the Arizona Republic’s editorial board back in 2004 and reject his candidacy. (“Officials behaving badly,” Arizona Republic, Feb. 7, 2014.)
Following an incident in Town Hall, after a Council meeting where then-councilman Archambault got into a shouting and poking confrontation laced with the “F-word” with the town manager, the Arizona Republic’s editorial correctly described Archambault as a “hot-headed elected official.” The editorial went on to state, “This sort of behavior is unprofessional and unbecoming a councilman. It reflects the worst judgment of someone who is supposed to be a town leader.”
I couldn’t agree more. Although there is one judgment that could be even worse than Archambault’s, and that would be the decision of any voter to elect him back into office.

Fountain Hills’ residents deserve professional Town Council members who interact politely with constituents and not an “unprofessional” and “hot-headed” one.
