Hotels, tourism lead Fountain Hills revenue report

Overall report remains positive

Services such as hotels, golf, tours and short-term rentals were the “star” of the financial report, presented by Chief Financial Officer Paul Solinger to the Fountain Hills Town Council during it Sept. 15 meeting.

Bringing in $951,793 for the final quarter and $2.6 million over the fiscal year, Soldinger credited Economic Developement Director Amanda Jacobs for her department’s efforts as well as online efforts from town public information officer Mike Pelton.

“Our tourism sector…it was a great quarter for our town,” he said. “I want to say that’s the best quarter we’ve had in this category.”
